Also this year Visagi awarded at the Gold of Italy and Mediterranean 2022 Competition
The Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Visagi obtained the score of 4 drops at the l’Oro d’ Italia 2022 competition and 4 drops at the l’Oro del Mediterraneo 2022 competition. In both cases we also received a Mention of Merit.
The competitions, now in their 13th and 11th edition respectively, are organized by O.L.E.A. (Organizzazione Laboratorio Esperti Assaggiatori) a non-profit association acknowledged as one of the most trustworthy in the national and international panorama for the skills of its Jury.
The awards ceremony will be held in Fano on May 21st on the occasion of the Gran Galà dell’Olio 2022.
Is it always the case that the oil we buy is an original product that complies with specific regulations?
No: often most of the oil sold as “extra virgin” is not at all “real extra virgin”. Worse: almost always the consumer is unaware of it.
The battle to guarantee the consumer to buy a “real extra virgin olive oil” also passes through participations in this type of competition in which the rigor of the jury (and organoleptic analysis) quickly unmasks the fake products.
